Details

Police were called to a home where a man was attempting to leave and other people were attempting to stop him from leaving. SJSO and SAPD officers arrived to the scene. They entered the residence and found Acosta allegedly holding a gun and acting despondent. Acosta allegedly pointed the gun at officers and SAPD Sgt. Kevin Carroll and SJSO Deputy Kristapher James shot Acosta.
